Miranda and I went to see the Hot Mikado on Saturday. It was at 42nd Street Moon and Jon David was in it. It's a different take on the Mikado, a Gilbert and Sullivan piece that I saw many times as a kid. Jon David was quite good as were many of the other actors but some were struggling and the sound had issues so it was hard to hear some of them. That combined with the odd story made it really hard for Miranda to follow any of it. Someone there recognized me, but it wasn't me they recognized. It was Heather Orth who is super talented and received many nominations for TBA. It took a while for me to convince him it wasn't her just me, Miranda's mom.
